Mobile Apps Design & Publish - The video game industry is growing by leaps and bounds every year. It owes much of its growth to the online game platform. Flash game sites are all over the web offering fun and addicting games for little cost. While these developers are only making a couple of dollars per sale, popular titles can have millions of downloads over a short period.

  • Students will create several game apps during the course of the class using Flash CS5
  • Design and create a simple application of their own
  • Understand design techniques based on application requirements
  • Publish app to multiple platforms - IOS, Android, etc.
  • Working knowledge of app publication & distributor requirements
  • Each student will take home a disk with their games

Note: Students are encouraged to bring their mobile device to test their apps. If they do not have a device, they will have access to an online emulator.

Ages: 8-17
Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Expectations: The application completion is dependent on the student's skill level. Each camper will complete several apps during class walk throughs and given the knowledge to continue their work once they are home.
Prerequisites: Basic computer literacy is necessary to be successful in this course. We recommend the Computers 101 & Office Essentials course prior if needed.
Sessions are Monday - Friday, from 9am to 4pm. Early drop-off as early as 7am and
late pick-up until 6pm is available at NO additional charge. Kids bring their lunch daily and a Camp Store account can be setup at registration or up until the session start
date to purchase items at the snack bar or camp store.
